M. Chapoutier receives several 90+ Scores in the November 15 issue of Wine Spectator:

94 pts – M. CHAPOUTIER Hermitage White Chante-Alouette 2013

Intense, exhibiting a honeyed feel as creamed apple, pear and papaya notes meld with toasted hazelnut and brioche details. Pretty verbena and chamomile hints flitter underneath, giving this lift and range. Shows a nice echo of salted butter at the very end. Best from 2016 through 2022.–JM

92 pts – M. CHAPOUTIER Crozes-Hermitage White Les Meysonniers 2014

A flattering style, with creamed melon, peach and heather notes carrying through the soft, caressing finish, kept honest by a salted butter hint. Shows lovely length and fruit expression. Drink now through 2017. –JM

chpbernardinerg-nvbottle300dpi91 pts – M. CHAPOUTIER Châteauneuf-du-Pape La Bernardine 2013

Plum sauce and crushed blackberry notes are inlaid with leather, juniper, bay leaf and warm paving stone notes in this broad and fleshy red. The grippy, tarry finish needs some cellaring to round into form. Best from 2017 through 2026. –JM

91 pts – M. CHAPOUTIER Crozes-Hermitage White Petite Ruche 2014

Juicy yellow apple, white peach and verbena notes are laced with a honeysuckle edge, leading to a bright, pure finish. Drink now. –JM
