In his blog post yesterday for Wine Spectator, veteran Rhône expert James Molesworth describes his recent visit to the M. Chapoutier estate in the village of Tain at the foot of the famed Hermitage hill, where some of the greatest wines in the world are produced.
But Molesworth’s tasting wasn’t limited only to M. Chapoutier’s top entries. In fact, he tasted the whole range of wines produced by the estate, including the Belleruche.
“The 2012 Côtes du Rhône Belleruche,” he writes, “is an ideal introduction to the Southern Rhône.”
