New Wine Spectator web-only scores and tasting notes by James Molesworth

M. CHAPOUTIER
Châteauneuf-du-Pape Barbe Rac 2010
Score: 97

Country: France
Region: Southern Rhône
Issue: Web Only – 2013

So lush, so warm, so inviting, with ganache, plum sauce and blackberry coulis notes that fan out beautifully. But there’s grip as well, with a mix of tar, shiso leaf, signed iron and charcoal all weaving through the finish, adding muscle and definition. Offers terrific range and length. Almost drinkable now, but this will get better. Best from 2014 through 2035. 35 cases imported. –JM

M. CHAPOUTIER
Crozes-Hermitage White Les Meysonniers 2011
Score: 91

Country: France
Region: Northern Rhône
Issue: Web Only – 2013

Forward, fetauring flattering peach, almond and creamed yellow apple notes backed by a hint of heather. Juicy, lush and accessible now. Drink now through 2014. 500 cases imported. –JM

M. CHAPOUTIER
Crozes-Hermitage White Petite Ruche 2011
Score: 90

Country: France
Region: Northern Rhône
Issue: Web Only – 2013

A light whiff of matchstick gives way to Cavaillon melon, heather, honeysuckle and quinine notes that all jingle harmoniously through the finish. Drink now through 2015. 1,000 cases imported. –JM
